Thinking Outside

We’re well into the month of May, so thoughts turn to gardening and outdoor living (briefly no doubt!).  B & Q always seem to have a good range outdoor bits, here are my picks:

I also like this bench which is on offer at the moment:

and my favourite piece is this hanging planter, indoor plants are really coming back into style and this would look great in a kitchen or bathroom:

and at only £19.98 what’s not to love?

Hanging planters styled perfectly at Zoe Bios Creative.

Available made to measure, please get in touch for a free no obligation quote.

For smaller windows,  see through roller or roman blinds also provide a nice alternative to vertical ones.

Before and After

I’m in the process of transforming a whole house, I thought I’d give you a sneak peek..

My client has a collection of Mason Ceramics in the dining room, and whilst we are updating the room, we still wanted to incorporate existing pieces.  The key to making a house not look too showy is to mix and match old and new.  Below is an example of how to update a traditional lamp base with a modern lampshade.

Below is the en suite

Out with the old and in with the new, we’ve yet to dress it.  When we’re finished I’ll update the gallery on my website.

Current Obsession – Yellow Sofas

Ever since I saw Jenna Lyons (of J Crew) slouching on hers in Living etc. back in September 2009, I’ve been drawn to yellow sofas.  A difficult choice you may think, but I actually think I’ll dare next time I’m in the market for a new sofa.  Here are some ideas on how to pull it off:

This grand sofa, looks sharp against the dull walls and vivid blue rug.

This Ikea sofa adds even more colour to this room.  Teal and yellow is a great combination.

This sofa adds interest and warmth to this modern scheme.
